We would like to share with you our Rampage 2016 event coverage.  Red Cloud Interactive is part of the official media team for Rampage 2016 together with Naruto Cosplayers PH (NCPH).  This event is definitely the biggest gaming event ever in the country.  More than 14,000 Summoners attended the event.  This year’s event is probably the most organized since the event started in 2012.

As early as 9:00 AM people are already lining up to the entrance.  It also surprises us to see almost a hundred cosplayers lining up for the special entrance for cosplayers.  These are all League of Legends cosplayers who want to showcase their characters.

Rampage 2016 Event Coverage: Merchandise abounds Rampage 2016

The World Trade Center tent is full of Summoners lining up to order their favorite League of Legends merchandise.  You cannot move as lines file up like I have never seen before at other events.  This is the first time that we had been to Rampage and it confirms why things became problematic during its early years.

Limited edition hoodies, character figures, t-shirts, Riot points and more are being sold at a discounted price.  There are also some bonus items which you can get.  It was the best day for all League of Legends players.

Rampage 2016 Event Coverage: Value for Money

Rampage 2016 is an event that gives genuine value for money.  Get the higher value ticket and receive more freebies.  I am in fact envious of regular ticket holders.  Despite our repeated attempt to request for a League of Legends shirt or a baller, we were denied.  We’re not sad but in fact, salute the organizers for giving priority to their players.

Players were also able to watch their favorite celebrities compete during the Celebrity Showmatch.  Popular personalities like Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao, as well as Eruption, competed live.  Their match lasts an hour and the fans were really shouting like crazy whenever a class occurs.

Rampage 2016 Event Coverage: Pro Gaming Series (PGS) Summer Split Finals

Acclaim Empire X (AEX) defeats Imperium Pro Team (IPT) to become the new champions of the Pro Gaming Series.   AEX wins the first two-game while IPT made a comeback at game 3 only to lose in an epic 58-minute final showdown during game 4.

They are the underdogs but they claim victory.  Acclaim Empire X, a team from the Visayas is the first ever non-Luzon team to grab the finals and the championships.  Despite all odds, they stand victorious against powerhouses that include Gamer’s Hub eSports and Mineski – League of Legends.

Winning the PGS Summer Split 2016 at Rampage 2016 means that AEX will head on to compete in the regional arena.  They will officially represent the Philippines in the next League of Legends tournament.

Rampage 2016 Event Coverage: Cosplay at Rampage 2016

Cosplay was also among the major highlights of Rampage 2016.  Cosplay Clash showcases the group cosplay teams selected by the organizers themselves.  Amazing and details costume were showcased by each team but it could have been made better if they gave a better stage performance,

Seagate conducts their own cosplay competition.  20 cosplayers participated in the mini-cosplay ramp.  Each cosplayer displays their best pose and moves to integrate the Seagate booth for 1 minute.  The winner will receive a 1Tb hard drive from Seagate.

A Plus Paint also exhibited their awesome cosplayers.  An all-female League of Legends cosplay characters were presented on stage.  The audience applauds each character as they make an entrance.

Truly Rampage 2016 is the biggest one-day gaming event in the Philippines.  This year it learned from the previous years and became a flawless event.  Well, there is some technical glitch on stage but overall it was a huge success.

We are hoping to be part of Rampage 2017.
